A few announcements !!

1.  We are going to be open Saturday.  We will observe normal Saturday hours.

2.  We will be closed on Monday in observance of the Holiday.

3. Health Equations Electrolytes are now available at CFR.  We are fortunate to have access to this great product.  This "paleo" mineral solution is a great way to maintain adequate hydration at the cellular level.  The formula we have is specially designed for athletes.  I have been using the product for years and can speak for its quality.  We had a lot of people use these last year with great results.  Let me know if you are interested.  It is a great way to beat the heat and rehydrate without consuming all of the garbage they use in most commercial "sports drinks"

  1. What will be the cost for the electrolytes?

  2. It’s a liquid concentrate. There are 60 servings per bottle (You mix 1 tsp with 8 oz or water). The cost is $35. I don’t know gatorade costs, but probably more than 50 cents a serving.

  3. Does it have any taste???

  4. Scott M. says:

Alima – Count me in for this stuff. Thanks

  5. Kyle Deneke says:

    It is a little salty.

  6. To me it doesn’t really have a taste, but it almost gives the water a little bit of a wierd texture. I don’t know if thats the right way to describe it. Kyle has used it regularly for so long that he doesn’t even notice it anymore.
But for me I have to drink it in a little juice. I don’t normally reccomend people drink juice. But I just use 1 or 2 oz of juice and drink it in 1 shot. Then I drink a glass of water afterwards.
Thats what I reccomend if the taste or texture bothers you in water.

I got some this week and it really isn’t bad! I can’t really taste salt in it but it just has a mineral-y taste. It reminds me of visiting beach towns where everything you drink has a tiny little hint of sea water in it.
