WOD 12-10-2012

I am deeply saddened to post that over the weekend we lost a CFR family member. Michael Owen passed away after losing a long struggle with addiction. Michael always had a smile on his face and worked hard in the gym. Please keep his family and all who knew him in your thoughts and prayers. Funeral arrangements have been made for Michael at Oak Wood Gardens in Gardendale at 1:00 Wednesday. Below is a message from Michaels family to his friends.

8 Hang Power Cleans
6 Front Squats
4 Push Jerks
You must stop and complete two Burpees on the minute, every minute throughout this WOD. Same weight for all movements.



  1. My heart hurts reading this. We are praying for Michael’s family during this devastating time.

  2. Sad. Michael was a great guy. Can’t remember him ever without a smile on his face, Even in the middle of the team competition when we were struggling.

  3. We have lost a great athlete and friend. Michael always put forth amazing effort in the gym and smiled at each person that walked through the door. We are praying for his family.
