- CrossFit Level 1
I began Crossfit as my daily “me time.” I was a mother who worked full-time during the day and attended classes at night to pursue my Master’s degree. I was a college athlete but never could find a fitness routine that worked with my busy schedule. I had heard from a friend that Crossfit classes went 1 hour long and that I could go during my lunch break at work.
That was in 2013 and I have been a member of the Crossfit community for over 7 years now. I’ve trained during my second pregnancy, dragged my husband into the programming and we have fitness as one of our core values as a family. Even our small kids will do light workouts and movements with my husband and me. Crossfit is so much more than pull-ups or barbells. It’s community. It’s nutrition. It’s being able to play with your kids. It’s a healthier version of you.
It doesn’t matter where you are on your fitness journey, Crossfit is for you. I’ve seen it work over and over again. I see it every day with my family and how it made us active, healthy people.
